Simon Bryant

Simon Bryant is Director of Public Health for Hampshire County Council and Isle of Wight Council and a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health, leading the public health agenda for two authorities. Within this role Simon chairs the strategic Public Health Boards including the Population Health Management Board, and Hampshire & Isle of Wight ICS Prevention & Inequalities Board, also the Hampshire and IOW Integrated Care Partnership.

The pandemic saw Simon leading the response to COVID-19, with the learning taken into his work to improve the health of the population and to tackle health inequalities. Simon enjoys time in nature as a keen runner and is an advocate for active travel through cycling to the office and external meetings.
